Quick organization tips

Reduce the amount of stuff you will need to organize by half. Schedule time on your calendar to organize email into folders, check your computer files etc. Very often we save several versions of a document without deleting earlier ones, or we save information that is readily available in it’s most current form on the internet anyway. If a mystery file appears, take a minute to check what is in it, decide whether to save, and if you do, rename it so that you will always know what is in there and why it was saved. If you use Outlook, there are color code options which will help know what needs action, what is on hold etc. Most clutter occurs when we delay making decisions about information or paper on our desk. Improve your skills at keeping only what is important and see how much easier everything else becomes.
